Mrs. Annie Gipson
Mrs. Gipson is a wife, mother, teacher and writer. She has written a book, Overcoming Obesity and Defeating the Spirit of Gluttony: a practical guide to help you win on a daily basis. It is a book written from her struggles with food. She shares her story of how God rescued her from destructive eating habits and set her on a course of good nutrition. She believes that her book will be instrumental in helping people understand that their body is the temple of God and that good nutrition is an expression of gratitude.
It is her deepest desire that her book will strengthen and encourage others to surrender their appetites to God so that He can become their strength and take them to “the winner’s circle” in their eating habits as well. She has worked as a nurse for twenty-six years and has witnessed the devastating effect of poor food choices on the human body and believes that if her patients made better food choices, they would improve their overall wellbeing and perhaps, reverse a disease state. She deeply feels that our wellbeing is connected to what we eat and that has a desire to help others understand this as well.
Mrs. Gipson has spoken to various groups and shares information on how they can plot a course of living healthy and eating well. Mrs. Gipson has been married to Isaiah, a wonderful, godly man, for twenty-four years and has three children, Kimberly, Christine and Matthew. She knows that her first and most important ministry is building a healthy relationship with her husband and children. She takes her role as a mother very seriously and is honored that God would entrust her with such an important task. Mrs. Gipson had the privilege of speaking at a 2009 Wheaton Christian Center’s Women Advance Retreat workshop on the topic of Kingdom Parenting.
