Margaret Miller

Mrs. Margaret Miller grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a home in which the family prayer altar was firmly established by her father, a Baptist preacher. After graduating from high school, Margaret relocated to Chicago where she attended Roosevelt University, receiving a B.A. in Sociology.

Shortly after her conversion in 1977, Margaret began ministering the love of God to patients in nursing homes and hospitals throughout the Chicagoland area. Early in her Christian walk, Margaret sensed the call to ministry of intercession and she made intercessory prayer a top priority in her daily life. Through a prophetic utterance given to her at WCC in 1985, an excerpt of which follows – Margaret received confirmation, as well as a deeper understanding of the ministry to which she has been called.
“Reproduction, birthing, reproduction by birthing. That which is begun in you will deepen and yea the times of travail that you have entered into are but precursors to what is going to happen. For I will show you things by My Spirit and you will know, you’ll have a knowing. Yea, you will begin to experience what other folk are experiencing in the spirit and you’ll know that God wants you to birth it for them…”
Over the past 30 years, she has seen God move mightily in areas of salvation (including former Muslims), healing, and the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
She currently assists Pastor Sheila Arthurs in leading Friday night corporate prayer. She considers this position as the highest honor to labor together with God to help His church fulfill its true purpose – “It is not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer?” (Mark 11:17)
Margaret’s work career culminated at Chase Bank of Chicago where she worked in various positions within the Administration Department. The last of which was Project Manager where she was responsible for the management of in-house construction projects with capital expenditures ranging from $10,000 to $1,000,000. Her responsibilities also included the supervision of bank consultants and contractors working on these projects. During her tenure at the bank, she received two elections – first, that of Staff Officer and subsequently that of Assistant Vice President. She held these offices until her retirement in 2003 after 20+ years of rewarding service.
