Joyce J. Hurley

We are so excited to have Joyce back with us again!

Hailing from the south side of Chicago, Illinois singing at the age of 15, Joyce Hurley, the impeccably seasoned Psalmist, is an anointed woman of God with a worshipper’s heart.  She is an artist whose purpose is to lead others beyond the veil in the Holy of Holies – the very presence of God.

It is this openness that truly distinguishes Joyce Hurley as an artist and worship leader.  She sings with a vulnerability and transparency that enables God to move through her to reach the needs of His people.  “I’m very real.” Hurley explains.  “When I open my mouth, I share my experiences – my doubts, my fears, my trials and my triumphs.”  It is this very honesty combined with the power of the Holy Spirit that makes every Joyce Hurley song an opportunity to encounter God.

A mother of two children, Joshua and Rebekah, Joyce serves as the Worship Pastor for The Emmaus Community in Chicago Heights under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Alise Barrymore and Rev. James King.

Joyce’s greatest desire is to be what and where God wants her to be. Without fail she is determined to wait on the Lord!
